COACHING FOR PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS

Learn how to create change for your students as well as other areas of the school system. Make your conversations more solution-focused. Discover how to focus your attention to hear what is—and isn’t—really being said. Learn to communicate effectively in “all directions” to improve decision-making, conflict resolution, and team building.

This course will offer principals and teachers the opportunity to learn how to apply coaching techniques in the school and in the classroom.

To minimize the time during which you need to be away from your school, the course is structured to include two half-day classes, interspersed with three, one-hour evening webinars.

• Learn how to create change for your students as well as other areas of the school system.
• Make your conversations more solution-focused, with an emphasis on clarifying issues and identifying action items.
• Discover how to focus your attention to hear what is—and isn’t—really being said, when working with teachers, parents and students.
• Learn to communicate effectively in “all directions”--up, down, and across organizational lines--to help improve decision-making, conflict resolution, and team building.
• Gain skills that will assist you in helping teachers and students in setting their own goals.

As an added benefit, each participant will receive a one-on-one tele-coaching session with one of the instructors at a convenient time for both.

Instructors include Marcia Meislin, president of a leadership development and training consultancy and Chaya Abelsky of Triumphant Journeys.
