HIGH IMPACT COACHING™ CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

This intensive 14-month training program prepares participants to perform as fully-trained coaches, providing independent coaching sessions and full coaching engagements. 

  • Learn techniques to support others in developing and achieving their goals, moving through barriers that have previously held them back.
     
  • Develop your skills with the guidance of a Master Certified Coach
     
  • Be ready to provide coaching in any setting—business, executive or personal
     
  • Experience your own personal growth and gain confidence, and learn how to help others do the same
     
  • Prepare for credentialing from the International Coaching Federation (ICF)

Class size is limited to 18 so all students will get personal attention.
This program provides 76 hours of training over fourteen to fifteen months and includes all three components you will need to perform as a coach and to become credentialed by the ICF: 

  • Option 1: 9 months of classroom training combined with teleclasses (Each month students will participate in a four-hour class held on the campus of Brooklyn College, as well as two 90-minute teleconferences)
     
  • Option 2: 8 months of interactive webinar training combined with teleclasses (no travel required! Two 2-hour webinars and two 90-minute teleconferences per month)
     
  • A 6-session, 3 month supervised practicum, working with a coaching client
     
  • Ten hours of one-to-one mentoring over three months, concluding with a letter of recommendation to the ICF 

The program provides exposure to a variety of coaching models and techniques. It is grounded in the International Coaching Federation Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, and the research and experiences of Janine Schindler [link to bio below], a Master Certified Coach.
Graduates of the course will:

  • Have a core body of knowledge about coaching theory and models
    • Understand coaching theory and foundations
    • Understand how coaching differs from other interventions
    • Understand different coaching models and how to use them in facilitating a coaching conversation
    • Understand and utilize the core coaching competencies, including presence, listening, speaking, permission, questioning and acknowledgement
    • Be familiar with the coaching code of ethics and its application
  • Have developed their coaching communication skills
    • Know how to engage an individual in the coaching conversation
    • Utilize active listening
    • Ask questions that evoke a deeper level of insight and information
    • Communicate and acknowledge in ways appropriate for a coach and client
    • Know how to adapt their own behavior and communication styles to build greater rapport with others
  • Have the confidence and insight to perform as a coach
    • Have insight into their own behavioral style and those of others, using the  DISC assessment model
    • Understand the range of possible settings and populations with whom they can use their coaching skills
    • Have a greater sense of connection with themselves
  • Understand six key aspects of brain functionality and how they impact us daily
  • Be able to work with assessments where appropriate, including DISC, 360 Assessment, Clean Sweep Assessment and Leadership Assessment

To successfully complete the course, participants will need to:

  • Attend and participate in classes, both in-person and/or webinar and teleclasses 
  • Complete assignments from each class 
  • Complete a final graded paper 
  • Submit an audio recording of a coaching session for proficiency review 
  • Complete a supervised six session, three month practicum during which you will receive mentoring and guidance while working with your own coaching client 
  • Complete three months of mentored coaching practice

REGISTRATION / FEES
The fee for the full nine-months of instruction and three months of practicum supervision is:

Option 1 (in-person classes):  $7500.00. There is a $1000 discount for students registering 60 days or more before the first class.

Option 2 (webinar option): $5500.00, with a $500 discount for students registering 60 days or more before the first class. 

Credit cards are accepted. If you miss a session or part of a session, you will need to pay $50/hour for a make-up session with the Assistant Trainer.
Students who withdraw before the second session of the class will receive a 50% refund.

 INSTRUCTORS
Chaya Abelsky, Associate Certified Coach
Janine Schindler, Master Certified Coach, International Executive Coach and Trainer
Janine is a highly trained executive coach holding the highest credential awarded by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She was also a two-term president of the NYC Chapter of the ICF.

As both a trainer and facilitator, Janine runs programs for organizations on leadership, manager as coach, and team building. She is part of New York University’s coaching faculty and curriculum development team, and teaches business coach training, intensive coach training, executive coach training and theoretical foundations of coaching for Results Coaching Systems, an ICF-accredited privately-owned global organization. Janine also created and taught the sales, values, leadership, strategic planning and customer service coaching classes for iPEC Coaching.

Her clients include the C-Suite and Senior Executives who want immediate impact and sustained results. From high-growth companies to global Fortune 500 companies, Janine is known as an expert in coaching, providing both intervention and high performance development for individuals, teams and organizations.

Janine has a firm grounding in business know-how, having worked with some of he world’s largest banks and brokerage houses; manufacturing companies, telecom and media companies and IT development firms, as well as the cosmetics industry; small independent companies; and not-for-profit organizations.

She holds a B.S. from St. John’s University and a Master’s degree from Queens College. She is a Master Certified Coach of the International Coach Federation, and holds certifications from iPEC Coaching (CEC), Results Coaching Systems (CRC) and Coach University (CEG).
